Woo Hoo Baby Alexandrines, maybe.

5 or 6 weeks ago I built a nest box for my Alexandrine Parakeets. It took almost 2 weeks for the female to figure out what that big scary box was for but eventually she did and she hardly ever comes out of it. I've seen them "doin it" a couple times. These birds have no shame, doing their thing out in the open in front of everyone. Anyways, I would check the box every few days and no eggs, no eggs, no eggs. Last Sunday I looked in and there were 3 eggs and 1 angry Monty bird. I'm not sure when she layed them but if they are good eggs I should have babies in 2-3 weeks. So, to quote Special Ed, "Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay."

Good luck with the little eggies. Hopefully you'll get some little dinosaurs.
Alexandrine and Quaker Parakeets are wild in my area.

It turns out the eggs aren't fertile so no babies this year.
