Picky Wren and other random bird feeder action shots
Apparently this little wren didn't like what I had to offer or saw something worth digging for.
Always fun to catch them in flight

Thanks Bishop
Hey...The first photo is some sort of wren. I think the second photo is a chickadee in flight and I'm not sure at all about the perched bird or the exact species of birds in the third...I just always call them sparrows (shrug) Tambra? anyone? I screwed up and started listing latin names with all my wildlife shots so can someone help ID these?

No, I don't think so although it does look very similar. They have a prominent white throat patch

The middle one looks very much like a uk chaffinch in his/her winter wear. Ive no idea if you have them in your country.

Wow - great feeder pics there Brett - when you told me you had some feeding pics I was of course thinking of snakes!
Carolina Wren - notice the white eye stripe?
Female Ruby Crowned Kinglet
Male Chipping Sparrow
Do I win a prize????
PS- when we going birding? I may have to drag you up Kennesaw Mountain - I heard it is a good spot

Well, its hard to say since we get both the Carolina and the Black capped but I would have to say it is Black capped because its bib is a bit larger than what you see in the Carolina.
Do you get Tufted Titmouse too? You usually find them hanging around where Chickadees are. They are the cutest little things and I just adore them

Yah that's what I think too. The Carolina Chickadees have a little different looking white shoulder marking too that you can't see in the photo anyway....but just before dark they were still out there and I didn't see any that looked like Carolinas so I'm just gonna assume that this bird was a black capped too. Thanks again.

Good shots!
My bird feeders seem to only attract large gray tree rats (aka squirrels).

HAHA I hand feed the squirrels on the porch. It's funny because now and then a squirrel will get on the feeder and I have to get on to them. I can basically walk right up to them and scold them and they look at me like "ok ... so go get me a peanut"
