I braught these home today from the raptor center for release. They all have been in for rehab and today was their lucky day.
Redtailed Hawk
Male Barn Owl
Female Barn Owl
Both Barn Owls together

Yes it is. I have had the opportunity of releasing several redtails, a screach owl and these two barn owls. I think it is wonderful to be able to see these birds out in the wild but it is even sweeter to see them heading back out when released.
My boss had never heard a barn owl scream until I went to get the female out of the box. She cut loose and poeple in the next county could probably hear her. My boss said it was a wicked sound.
I think the barn owls are the most birds graceful in flight. It was awesome to watch them soar through the trees.

Awesome!
The owls are amazing in flight... the silent movement of their wings is incredible.
Great job!

LOL Jonny. If you like my hooters there you should have seen the two I released the other day. They were bigger hooters than those barn owls.

Kudos to you in your involvement in rehabbing those birds for re-release into the wild. Those are some beautiful raptors, especially the pair of hooters in your hands. They look anxious to be free again. What was it that happened to them that required rehabilitation?

These barn owls were found trapped in a wharehouse for several days. They were emaciated and dehydrated.
