Go away Big Bird!

I love that my yard has so many lizards.. this time of year the racerunners are especially abundant and beautiful..

.. but this Egret comes right up my sidewalk picking them off!

I shoo him away but he doesn't go far, just lands in my neighbor's yard and eats his lizards.. The bird is very practiced at it and can catch and eat one about every three minutes. I watched him eat three in five minutes!

That's nature I guess.. but why won't he go eat some bass or something?!

Great pic's Gus, I just found this little guy/gal about 20 mins ago. Nothing special but my first find of the year...
Just catch the bigbird and drive about an hour away and let him go j/k

You just confussed me. I just show the header and thought how in life did he get a Go away bird in his garden, they are locals in Sub Saharan Africa not the states. Grey Loerie aka Kwevoel aka Go Away Bird. Big grey bird that sits in the top of a tree and warns other animals if danger is around.
