New Finches...need advice...

I am thinking about getting a couple finches. I'm not sure what kind yet but kind of leaning towards society (fawn pied), zebra, and/or spice. I had finches when I was 9. Obviously my mom took care of them mostly. I would like some advice on the differences of these birds and what is good for a beginner. Also, what do they need to have in their cage? I currently have a 17"x17"x20" cage with food and water dishes and two swings. I know I need to get a perch or two but I don't know what else. Thanks!
