Cuvier's Dwarf Caiman
Cuvier's Dwarf Caiman (Paleosuchus palpebrosus)
I know, but since we don't have a crocodilian forum, birds are their closest living relative.

Re: Cuvier's Dwarf Caiman
Brought this up a couple years ago and the general consensus was that not enough people keep crocodilians to justify a crocodilian forum. I think that is probably still the case.

Re: Cuvier's Dwarf Caiman
I think enough people are interested in them, they should have their own forum.
John which do you find harder to deal with day to day, a cuvier's or a large varanid?

Re: Cuvier's Dwarf Caiman
I like them alot, but am not set up to handle them at the moment. Who knows in a few years i may be, i have the space but im sure that an american alligator would require a large outdoor enclosure and most likely an indoor one for winter months here in mississippi. definately a 10 on the coolpetometer but they get a little on the scary side....

Re: Cuvier's Dwarf Caiman
We should change the name of the Birds forum to Archosaurs...
Nice pic, would like to get a small croc or caiman some day when I have a few acres and room for a pond.

LOL @ u, you vertebrate zoology NERD, but thats a good idea! And I know Krokguy would probably appreciate a forum such as that.
And thats a great picture! I always look forward to threads by you...several pictures of yours have taken over my desktop for a few weeks in the past.
