New bird,need help with name
I have ALWAYS wanted a Blue Fronted Amazon....well,I got one...sort of lol about 4 weeks ago. He is actually half Yellow Naped Amazon and half Blue Fronted Amazon. Absolutely adorable!!!!He is 8 1/2 weeks old and I am still hand feeding him birdie formula He eats like a pig and is very vocal....I CAN'T come up with a suitable name I just love him but my family is tired of hearing me call him "the baby" lol My yellow Naped Amazon's name is "Lola", I have a blue crowned conure named "Ringo",a Quaker parrot "Sammy",a green cheek conure "Bug",an american yellow lovebird "Tia",cherry headed conure "Amigo",2 breeder lovebird's "Adam and Eve" and four baby love birds that I am currently hand feeding "Michelangelo,Leonardo,Raphael, and Donatello". So,all of these names are out lol
Any suggestions would be great and of course a surprise for the person who suggests a name that sticks

Re: New bird, need help with name
I can't offer name suggestions without a pic. though Amethyst comes to mind. Has it been DNA sexed yet?

Re: New bird, need help with name
I'm not having "him" DNA sexed. I don't need to know because he will never be bred but I have suspicions that he's a male. I like Flick......Morti,I can not name this bird "Bubba" lol but thank you for the suggestion

Re: New bird, need help with name
It's good for more than just breeders. My mom had her quaker sexed(it's only $20) which answered a LOT of questions, as well as made giving her an accurate name much easier.

Re: New bird, need help with name
The sex doesn't matter to me. I have been keeping/breeding/raising/rescuing birds for a long time and when I need a bird DNA sexed,I have it done it costs $25 dollars here and I have no worries about doing it, but I don't need to know it's sex so I don't do it. My thought is,I presume he's a boy so if I give him a boy name and it turns out to be a girl.....the bird really isn't going to care. But thank you for the suggestion
