Albino or white phase ringneck dove?

My daughter was given this dove today (seems we are the drop off for unwanted animals - thankfully we had an empty cage even if it is a bit tall for a dove).
It has a very faint ring around the neck but I am not sure if this is an albino or a white phase ringneck since only the center of the eyes are red.
Any ideas?

Re: Albino or white phase ringneck dove?

We have one of those running around our parking lot at the motel where I work.
She's tagged and is very sweet. I had her casted and ready to be picked up but one of the guests wasn't too brilliant so she's still there somewhere.

Re: Albino or white phase ringneck dove?

Its either a white or an albino. its prob an albino....what happens with most albino birds is that their eyes darken up when they get older. if you take them out in the sun, or strong light, you will see that they are still red, they are just darker red.

btw....are you on the TFH forum? i think i know ya

Looks to be an albino ringneck. Pretty bird though.
