Thank you X-Factor?. . .
I have not been on here in a while, and have been sort of perusing some old threads. Well low and behold, I find one concerning Dusky Conures where my wonderful BF makes a few comments about my bird weaning capabilities. I would like to clarify since he was apparently not clear on what I was asking. I have no problems handfeeding or weaning birds. My problem is with one specific kind of conure. Three out of five dusky conures that I have hand fed in the past year, have all had the same problem. They get fed, and immediately run to the back of their cage and spit it all up, immediately followed by them trying to eat it back up off the towel. I have hand fed/weaned numerous babies of all different types, and this is the only type of bird that I have ever had this happen with. Any insight? Anyone?

Whoa.... when did Tom's woman get on here???? Wait...aparently June of 2007. Have I missed something? I remember the whole dating the girl who worked at Petco thing, but has it been that long?
Anyways, I don't know about the bird thing, but wow, you should see what he says about you in the PMs!!!

Wow, how did I miss having fun with the whole X-factor's girlfriend thing... so disappointed.
Anyway, that is interesting about the birds... what would happen if you just put it on the towel? Is it a liquid diet you are giving it?

Re: Thank you X-Factor?. . .
I mess back and I am evil too hehe
Anyhow... They are fed formula. The problem with the towel thing is that the towel soaks it up. I tried a few different things, but to no avail. The ones that had this problem all died. Just seeing if maybe anyone had any ideas. I am starting to think it has something to do with the breeder, but unfortunately I have no control over where we get the birds from.
