The Cocky Pheasant
The male Golden Pheasant (Chrysolophus pictus) is a stunning bird and boy does he know it. While photographing this bird with a few other photographers someone mentioned how magnificent he looked, and at that moment the bird stuck-out it's chest and struck this pose.

After taking the pic, I made a comment to the others, "Yea, it's a looker, but I'll bet it still taste just like chicken." As if the bird understood what I had said he turned glared at me, stomped his foot and then ran away.
