ROFLMAO.... kissed a cockatoo or two.... ROFL! That is a beauty, I miss having Cockatoos in the house, I used to have a Sulfur Crested named King Tut, followed me all over the house waddling yelling, 'Mama come here, mama come here!' We also had Moluccans and Goffins and 31 cockatiels in a flight out back, but at some point and time I became deathly allergice to the fine talc like dander that these particular parrots put off and contracted not bird keepers disease but a brown lung like condition! So I had to get rid of all my babies who put off fine talc. It broke my heart, still does, the cockatoos are the clowns of the bird world and the original VELCRO birds, they bring so much to the home they inhabit, so much fun. I'm almost jealous but in truth it's good to see good owners or should I say parents to these beauties.

You know actually now that you mention it, a few months ago I kept a budgie for a friend while they were on vacation and my nose ran, eyes watered, and I hacked the entire time he was here, even with cleaning the cage daily and keeping him misted down. So it does have a lot to do with the grain size of the dander I'm sure.
