I there, I am new to Bearded Dragons. I just got a male about a month or so ago. After they chop on the greens and fruit can/ do they store the food in thier beard? I havent noticed this when feeding live pray only when feeding fruits and greens. His beard looked a little fuller to me after he eats.
Mr. Hankie is a 1 1/2 old male who mommy just let mate with two other females. He seems to be eating more now then when I 1st bought him. well hello onefreewoman welcome to RTB/RH. I also have a male beardie
he is about 6 months I haven't noticed the beard thing but anything that
holds still long enough in simons tank is gone within seconds. so i don't have enough time to really watch him eat. Maybe someone else can offer a suggestion

I dont recall ever seeing a beardie store food. The beard is typically used for displaying such as when the dragon is on the defensive or something has scared him and he is trying to looking threatening.

No, they don't store food where the beards are. Sometimes they do expand their beards out just a little for no apparent reason. Beardies do this weird thing once in a while where they fully extend their beards and kind of stick their eyes out a bit. Very weird looking. Looks like they're stretching their face or something. Not sure what the purpose behind that is.

Not sure if this is what your talking about but, I have seen Beardies open their mouths a bit and flare their beards out some if they are hot. Kind of like panting, to help themselves thermoregulate. If he is eating more, maybe he's been working up an appetite
