I have 2 dragons, male and a female both a little over a year old. The male keeps developing a problem with his right front leg. The first time it happened it was both right legs and I took him to the vet. Xray revealed nothing bone related so I figured he got his toes caught in the netting and pulled a muscle. Now its just the front leg...he can't use it and the whole thing seems like its swollen and stiff. He eats less, but will eat when food runs in front of him, or he's handed a worm or if he can drag himself over to the food dish.
He is parasite free, the eyes are clear and is almost finished shedding now. Toes on the leg appear to be fine and the female will stand on him, but not behave aggressively.
Cage is a 175 gallon open air setup with lizard litter for substrate. They have a water bowl and are fed fresh greens daily. They hate the baths so either I am doing it wrong or they just hate the baths.
I also do reiki on the male every day in an attempt to help the leg thing along.
Does anyone else have this kind of thing happen?

Was it ever fed prey that may have been too large? Could have developed spine injury that is progresivly getting worse too.

Do you have a full-spectrum flourescent UVB bulb that you're changing every 6 months? I don't know where you are located, but, if it's been at least 70 degrees, are you taking him out into the sun at least 1-2 times a week? If not, the lack of exposure to UV might be the cause. What did you mean by "I figured he got his toes caught in the netting..."? Are you keeping him in a Reptarium?

Yeah, I got the Reptarium about 2 months ago. The female climbs it all the time but the male hasn't in a while.

The male is pretty big...have been feeding them 1 inch crickets since I got them. They have grown like crazy. When the male is feeling well, he will eat about 20 of them all by himself.

The food it is eating should be about the same length as the distance between it's eyes.
Are you dusting the crickets?
What kinds of items are you putting in the "salad"... some of the darker greens are not good for the beardies.

using only greens off of lists I have found...red, green lettuce, dandylion, collard, mustard greens, escarole. No broccoli or spinach. They seem to like a bit of squash and carrots once in a while.
