Just like to say Hey, because this is actually my first post and first time visiting the site. anyhow, let's get to the subject!
I've had my bearded dragons for roughly 2yrs or so now, and just recently the bigger beardie started nibbling on the others tale. Then when I woke up one morning the tale of the bearded dragon was mostly taken off. What should I do about this? They were getting along so well together, they still are now. Is the bearded dragon going to be ok?
Thanks for all your help in advanced.

UM I'm not a big expert but I would say to seperate them first then get the one without the tail to the vet asap

Hi and welcome to reptile haven!
I agree with kogoz... biting on tails is a good indicator that perhaps those two animals should not be in the same cage. Get the injured one to a vet to treat that wound. BTW... beardies are not like geckos... that tail will not grow back.
You might also revisit your feeding schedule.. If one is biting the tail off the other, it is possible that your dragons are not getting enough animal protien in their diet.
Good luck!
-Morti.

Alright, I'll seperate them. I was also wondering how many crickets at a time each one should get. (I feed them every other day)

Are you offering any vegetable matter along with the crickets?

Hmm.. looks like everyone missed another obvious one..
For the tail that has been damaged, apply neosporin (non pain formula) to the tissues several times a day and change the substrate to news paper or paper towels to prevent any substrate from causing problems.
As for the crix, a few is ok as long as its' primary diet is fresh greens. Younger beardies usually eat crix readily and changing to a more of a plant type staple as they get older.

Update!:
I bought a 20 gallon long tank(wow, I really like it) with the stand to go with it. My tv fits perfect on the stand!! Got him a few little new toys and he's good to go. He seems to like his heat rock rather then the light(he is the smaller of the two).
Now my big guy is furious and when he sees the other beardie(across my room in the new cage) his beard turns black and starts going crazy(lol). Also when he sees me feeding crickets to the other one.

I don't want to sound mean but ..GET THAT HEAT ROCK OUT OF THERE!!!! He Could get severly burned. No animal should be housed with a heatrock. Use a basking lamp and a UVB Flourescent bulb.
Also a 20 Gallon Long is Too small for a 2 year old Beardie. What were the 2 in before you moved them? Everyone I know keeps a pair of adults (male and female) in quite large cages. They Do get very teritorial about space.

heh, I was told a heat rock was right for them. I am using a basking lamp and a flourscent bulb. I have one in the 20gallon (LONG) tank and the other in a 40gallon breeder. They definetly both have enough space for themselves.

Yeah, heat rocks are absolutely the worst idea ever. They will cause problems with your beardeds. They develop hot spots over time and can cause major burns or even death. Cut the cord on that thing and remove it.

I have my yearling female in a 29(same floor space as a 20L) I'm wanting to put her in a 4' cage soon. People I know keep a pair in like a 6'x2'x2' cage. Do you know the sex of both of your beardies?
