welcome to RTB/RH!
Handle him as much as possible and with time he should calm down. Be careful not to stress him out to much, and just give him some time.

Babies can be somewhat timid and easily scared.
It may also need some time to "settle in", give it a few days with minimal handling then gradually start to increase the handling time.

Hey-
Basically what everyone else has said is right. Time fixes everything. Just keep handling the Beardie. Try to make a schedule out of it. For ex: Every day at 3 take the Beardie out. That way the Beardie will soon come to get used to it. If he keeps biting while you are trying to handle him you can always use gloves ::shrugs shoulders::. Also, is there anything in the room where his cage is that might be desturbing him? Try to make the room that he stays in as quiet as possible with a few interesting things happening every once in a while. Beardies like to watch things that are going on. Just try to turn down the tube and stereo more often. That's not the kind of observing they like. If you have a dog or cat around that also may be detressing them. Well, hope I helped a little bit. Don't worry. Time should work it all out.

Another thing to keep in mind is when he bites, don't automatically put him down, otherwise he'll get the desired response he wants every time you pick him up. We think of Pavlovian theory working in how animals respond to human actions ,but it works in reverse too!!! Persistance, and your will over his! Good luck, and keep us posted.
Oh, and by the way, welcome to Reptilhaven!
