Re: Cage Ideas!!!!! HELP?
ok..well to start, dont house them together, im sure you knew that tho.. i never had a problem fatteninng spike up...when he was young i would feed him all the crix he wanted 2 times a day and boy did he eat a lot..and he would eat a few bites of greens, but not too much..then once he hit 15" i started with superworms and have been feeding those as a staple ever since. he is now 1 1/2 yrs old, 20" and a fat little thing also try silkworms and hornworms, stay away from all worms except these 3(never take horn(tomoato) worms out of ur yard) as for cage, i built spike a 4x2x2 cage out of melamine, with slate for a substrate. you dont need to use mealamine, but i liked the white since it helped brighten up the cage. beardies thrive on a bright environment.

and a recent pic of his fattiness

It isn't the sweetest one ever, but the dragon seems to like his home.

Re: Cage Ideas!!!!! HELP?
Plywood with a sealent and a sliding acrylic front door Or some type of wood with a sliding door.
Check this thread out:
How to build 4x2 enclosure for $100
Could use that idea and modify it

Re: Cage Ideas!!!!! HELP?
Aquariums suck unless they are set on end with the opening on the front which is what I do for a lot of my geckos. Like a 20 long I set it on end and the opening is in the front. Not being able to get into the tank from the front is what sucks about putting terrestrial animals into aquariums.

Re: Cage Ideas!!!!! HELP?
I don't have any pictures of mine but I was able to Build a Decent 6'x3'x2' for about $85-$90. It has Acrylic Sliding front and is a Full Wood enclosure minus the acrylic of course.
