Sunken eyes?

I've heard about bearded dragons and something about sunken eyes?

I was just wondering what this looks like..is it extremly noticable? Like..if it happens to Ozzy will I be able to tell and just know.

Also..what is..? Like... what does it mean?

Does it mean that the lizard is dehydrated?

Well I am not sure about Bearded Dragons. But in snakes if it has sunken eyes then usually it has mites or not enough humidity or it is dehydrated. But I am not a 4 legger person and I don't keep Bearded Dragons so maybe a BD person can explain it more

Hello

Hello,

Sunken in eyes normally indicates severe dehydration. Does your dragon have them? If so, can you please post a picture? It can also indicate other problems. We would have to go over your husbandry a bit if the dehydration isn't the problem.

Wooo there Tracie, slow down. If you re-read this thread she was just asking a curiousity question... It had nothing to do with her dragon. Dehydration would be one of the causes, but hypothetically it would have started with some other aillment earlier on to get to that stage...

yours is in good hands... your doing a fine job with him.

What do you mean by "sunken", like bags under the eyes or really sunken in? My sav will get bags under his eyes when he's thirsty, and after he gets a drink, they go away. So, if that's what you mean, it might have to do with dehydration. I know your beardie doesn't have them, I'm just posting a possible factor.
