Beardies tank (pics)
I built this cage about 3 months ago and just wanted to show some of the people that are deciding on which kind of substate to use. I use Slate tile and repti carpet..they are easy to use and wont cause impactions.
Thanks for looking

I like... northstar you could even have it so the bottom is sand (if you would want to use sand or something) and then just the little inclines are carpet.

what are your temps? Basking and ambient... seems it would be hard to heat that without a second bulb or do you have a UTH?

Sponger- Basking is set to 110,Ambient is in the 80s but has dropped to 70s at night. The tank holds heat really well. Its 3/4in birch plywood all the way around wtih plexiglass as windows(wish I would of went with glass).
Rich
edit: 250w bulb to heat.

northstar. That is exactly what I wanted to do, but had to get them into there new tank because the old one was too small. But More levels and another basking spot is what I would of done different.
