Help on Getting thier Mouth Open?
How can I get thier mouth open w/ out hurting them?..They fight all the way..
Im trying to go in through the sides but I dont want to just shove it in b/c I dont want to damage any teeth.
Buddys spikes are pretty smooth, but Pumpkin's are sharp..I have punchure holes all over my hands.
Last night I had babyfood/grinded superworm slop all over me!!
Any tricks???

With any snake or lizard I find that the easiest tool to use is a rubber spatula. The soft rubber won't hurt your critter and you can use the pointy bit in the front kindof gently walking it to the back of the jaws.
I am afraid that I don't have any tricks for not getting spiked by a beardie... I am not a beardie kindof guy.

for the body spikes - have you tried wrapping them in a towel? Phoenix tolerates being in a towel after a bath.
Why are you needing to get the mouth open?
