Hey i just got some wax worms for my bearded dragon.. hes 12.5 inches
i was wondering how many/how often should i feed them to him? i understand there high in fat and not healthy for them if u give um to often

here's what i do with worms..(supers, reds, waxies and kings)
I make my beardie a nice kale and mustard green salad, and sprinkle some worms on top, that way they get some nutrition too...

I only offer this type of worm to the lizards like 2-3 times per week and only give them about 4-5 of them also. All my lizards..except the IGYY"s of course [img]modules/Forum/images/smiles/icon_eek.gif[/img] [img]modules/Forum/images/smiles/icon_wink.gif[/img]

Well if you give them to many they get spoiled and then they don't wanna eat their veggies and crics! 4 or 5 a few times a week is good!

Yeah...That's the problem with lizards that are omnivorous. Ya give em too many of the crunchy yucky bugs to eat and they don't wanna eat their veggies.

I don't have that problem with my kids hehe. They eat their veggies .. prefer veggie styled stuff to eat over other stuff you think they would want to eat at times also.
