I've got mealworms mainly for my newts but I wondered if the bugs they turn into would be suitable food for my beardies/geckos? I don't want to breed them but throwing them out seems pointless any ideas? Thanks

well im new to the beardies but from what ive read and been told as long as the beardies are not youngens they can eat mealworms, and i do feed them to my adult Gecko's.. But if im not mistaken you can stick the mealworms in the fridge and they wont turn into the bugs.. hope this helps, but im sure someone with some more experience on beardies will be along shortly.. hope i helped

NO!!
That can cause some major constipation for them since thier exoskeletal parts are a LOT tougher than the mealies are.

Just seperate them into another container and maintain a breeder colony.

Ya got it right!
In the fridge does slow down their growth rates.
