Finally Did It

Well i couldnt stand it any longer, after researching for several months me and the wife finally decided we were ready to try our hand at the Beardies.. We found a lady here in Memphis that dabbles in breading Beardies, after talking with her a couple of times, we bought 2 baby Beardies from here this past Sunday, and i even missed the first half of the race to go pick them up LOL... They are only 1-1/2 months old and so cute and tiny.. Throughout my researching ive seen many ppl say that the eat Dandelion greens, does this mean the yellow dandelions that grow in mt yard?? and greens, does this mean everything but the yellow flower part?? oh btw we named them Thar and Sahara. will get some pics up soon i hope

Now for those of you you havent noticed my absence (if anyone has [img]modules/Forum/images/smiles/icon_smile.gif[/img] ) Something took out my HD on the PC at home, so now i only get to check out RTB while im at work.. I dont post while im at work because the spacebar doest work half the time..So after i do post i look up to see that ive typed 1 LONG sentance in paragraph form LMAO.. I hope to have my PC back up and running soon so i can get back to all my friends at RTB and make some new friends out of all the new members this site gains with every passing day.. PS it has only taking me 45 minutes to post this due to this #$%^&#$%^&#$%^&#$%^& keyboard... Hope ya'll and your families are doing well and look forward to joining ya'll in chat again SOON

Ok its been 24 hrs since i posted this and no response, is this a tough question or because i dont post much any more im out of the "clique" lol, all the long time members of RTB will get my lil joke there

Well, to me the greens means the leaf, but with some of the turtles here, I give them the whole thing, leaf, stalk and flower and let them decide.

No clique clubs here.

LMAO Eddie, ok so is it safe to give the flower part of a Dandelion to a Beardie? and for the record i still hang out its just a lot less than wha i use to... If someone wants to donate a 20 Gig HD to me it would be appreciated [img]modules/Forum/images/smiles/icon_smile.gif[/img]

Dandelion greens can sometimes be found in the grocery store. (Carried at Raley's/Bel Air and sometimes Ralph's in CA) The flowers are edible, too. If you harvest dandelions from outside, be VERY sure that they are from an area where no pesticides are used and clean them well before feeding them out.

OK Sprint they will eat the green's and flower part! They will eat also almost any bug or spider but never feed them Fire Fly's!!! Fire Fly's will kill them in second's!!!!! Fire Fly's produce a chemical that causes their little heart to explode!!! Anyway wish I had a HD laying around I'd send it to ya!!! If I come across one you can have it! Does it have to be 20gig or can it be smaller say 5 to 10 maybe able to get my grubbers on one for ya!

Ok thx guys, i wasnt sure and i didnt want to give them to em before i knew exactly if it was safe.. And Shad on my HD i would prefer a 20 Gig but i guess beggars cant be choosers huh LOL
