Well, we got another beardie yesterday! April has been wanting him for a While now, it's a full grown male that has belonged to a petshop here since he was a hatchling, kinda a shop pet. well, Ii was there yesterday and the owner (knowing that April really wanted him) asked me if I want him, so I took him home for a surprise for April (juggaletefwb). she was thrilled !

only problem is I live in a one bedroom apartment, there's not a whole lot of unclaimed spaces for herps around here, so I put the new guy (Larry) in the kitchen temporarily. when I woke up this morning he was going nuts! running around his cage, I've never seen him act like that before! at first I thought it was my cat freaking him out, but as it turns out, he could see Shamika, and Raja (the tegus). later on while I was sitting on the couch with the new beardie (right next to the tegu cages) Shamika started huffing and running around, and Larry (the beardie) puffed out! made his beard all black and stuck it out and took in this big breath and like doubled in size Shamika was like D^mn!! and calmed right down like "don't hurt me spikey lizard " of course I moved larry into the bedroom so he can't see the tegus anymore.

hehe, Shamika really whimped out though! she could kick his butt all over the place if she wanted to! -Juggalo

It's amazing how good a beardies vision and belief of range of territory is. I was by a friends hous that has beardies and If you walk in to the basement and her beardie doesnt know you he goes nuts. puffs up bobbing his head its hilarious, and this is across the basement from him and towards humans. So that means they can identify who you are from across the room through glass. So they must have great vision and high intelegence.

We found out they don't like Uro's either. One of our Uro cages sets on the floor. We let a dragon out to roam and booom!! He ran straight over crashing into the glass doors and then started with the head bob and beard routine. Course the Mali (who is larger) was unimpressed and ignored the whole display
