Sick beardie eating again!!
GREENS of all things! He's been so sick for so long and just swamped by antibiotics- I can't even say how happy (and shocked) I was to see him dive right into his dandelion greens and blueberry salad this morning! I so hope this is a sign he's getting better!!

He had a nasty respiratory infection that didn't really respond well to antibiotics.

oh..I have a suspision osmthing may be up with mine, either he's really not happy and just not refusing to eat properly or he's sick from somthing, i think I may have gave him to many super worms :\ but the pet store insists they are perfectly safe to use. I even went yesterday and was talking with there manager about it, because he's the guy who got me to use the super worms. but I don't know whats up, I got cricket to eat 2 crickets yesterday, and he has one in there right now, I hope when I get back from work he'll have eaten it, he's really not eating enough at all. he's bearly growing.

How long have you had him? sometimes I believe they can go off their food for a few days like a week or two into a new home. If not, take a stool sample to your vets. It's worth having him checked over anyway. My little one didn't eat properly from the moment I got him, and it transpired that he had chronic renal failure. by the time I took him to the vet it was just too late, so take him sooner rather than later. I don't mean to scare you, because I seriously doubt it's that, and it's probably worms or something similar but it's always worth catching it early. I didn't realise that my beardie was behaving abnormally because I'd never had one before, and thought it was just taking his time settling in. Now i have a healthy one i realise just how much one of these little buggers can eat (and poo!!). sorry for rambling, I'm bored. Not sure about the super worms. Is he pooing ok? And he's not dragging his back legs is he?

he was eating...then I guess I threw him off because I was trying new things, maybe you are right, he does eat a little when I'm not around. he's just not agressive, but yea, hes only 3 months or less, I only had him...what not even a month yet. but he's not growing as much as he should be, because of the transfer maybe? i don't know. and I don't know if he's going much, he's small..I never notice it, it goes right into the sand bed...I know I should have the sand. but he likes it and he didnt like the news paper. and the news paper drove me nuts at night because he would run around al night. so yea, better for the both of us :P idk bout his eating...but good news is he had 3 crickets this morning, now I see none, so he ahd to eat them at some pointl.

All i can say is to be patient. When he is hungry he will eat. When i first got my gecko he didn't eat for a week. Now u said that u put sand in his cage...i am wondering if he is getting sand in his mouth when trying to eat the crickets. Thats what stopped my gecko from wanting to eat. Keep an eye on that if u can and if u notice that is happening u can either remove the sand or feed him in something else. But anyway...just be patient he will eat like crazy when he is ready and just keep an eye on him.

it workeD! I took out the sand this morning before I fed him and he ate 2 worms and a cricket which is a huge meal for his size. so he's eating again thanks for the advise. but hey, I still need some kind of beding...what does every one use if sand upsets them? because I know he was used to the sand but now I have him thrown off because of the news paper, and he wont go back to the sand, so what else can I use?
