Lizard and Boa?
this is probably a really dumb question, and I kinda know the answer but thought 'better safe than sorry'. My redtail boa won't try to eat my baby beardie, will he? I only worry cos he's the right size, and if he did decide to go for him, there would be nothing I could do about it! My guess is that he won't cos he don't smell much like a rat, but just thought I'd ask! Thanks

eh, they're both cold blodded, I don't think anything a boa would eat would be cold blooded, so he shouldn't make the mistake.

The answer is a definate maybe. Snakes eat lizards regularly. I see no reason a boa might not give it a go.
You should never have the 2 in close contact.

One thing to consider before taking them out to play is when they were last fed, and is either one still hungry....
An additional thought is not will one eat the other, but will the snake bite the lizard, they don't have a problem taking shots at humans just in a defensive manner

yes your beardie will get eaten by your boa
snakes will eat anything going if hungry enough, they are oppurtunist feeders
best to have them out seperately and wash your hands of any scent after handling your beardie before tending to the boa

No probs!! I knew you were only checking! It's worth asking, because i'm sure you'll come across someone one day who houses silly things together! like a pet shop near me that has a columbian rainboa boa in with a royal python! poor little boa's all dried out.

Sorry replies a bit late, but here goes anyway! IMO, your boa would strike and constrict your beardie if they came into contact with each other.. If for no other reason than as a defensive move! An as said snakes will eat lizards, there on the food chain along with rodents!
