Radicchio?
is this stuff ok for beardies? It's like red lettuce, cos that's all the little bugger will eat!! If it's alright I'll go get some more.

No, lettuce has no nutritional value and is not healthy at all. They can get very sick from eating just lettuce.

Have you tried most of the healthy greens on this site? www.beautifuldragons.com
Your dragon is pretty small right now so he might take awhile before getting used to the greens, but as long as you have them always available, he will begin to eat them.

to be honest I'm not quite sure it is a lettuce, it just looks a bit like one. I still give him a mix of stuff but like you said he's a bit small (and picky) at the moment so I'll carry on as I am. I've got the list from the site, but being english I think some of the names are different, or we can't get them here. Buck's very kindly told me of a good mix from a supermarket here so I'll give that a go!! thankyou!!

my animal shate that stuff...if I give them salad with that in it you can be sure they will avoid it and pick through the bowl. That's the iguanas and the beardies.
You should try and provide a different mix each week---like FCH said, try that site and look at the list...rotate what you buy so the animal is getting the most out of his salads...and don't forget to provide fruits and veggies as well.

go to the store and look for a bag of greens from Dole. I get Spring Mix, and there's another called Field Greens...both are very suitable for a dragon's diet. it's a good variety of things usually 4 to 5 different types of things. they do have radiccio....but too much of that sin't good cause it will give them the runs. I sent you a PM Joanna...I suggest doing that and send me a msg on AIM or something sometime
