Mess?
My guy has taken to spreading his vegitables from one end of the cage to the other for the last 3 days. Anyone know why he would start this all of a sudden? Does he not like them? looking for better ones below? being ornary?

If so, then prolly just playing with his food.

I don't know about beardies, but iguanas sometimes make big messes with food and poop when they're mad about something... in other words, if something has changed in their routine or diet. Any chance that's what your beardie is doing? |

He seems to be eatting a fair bit of it. He may be mad. I have had to put my foot down. He would sit on my shoulder for 4-5 hours a night then he started wanted it earlier and earlier and I finally said no. Other then that its pretty much the same routine/cage. Or he could be ornary and just playing...lol monster. Oh well guess my next purchase is a hand vac to clean out the cage every day.

Well I think I found what he was mad about. I had moved his uvb light over by his heat lamp and now looking back, Thats when he started to act up. It annoyed me there so i moved it back to where it was and his behaviour changed almost over night. His favorite spot to lay is under this uvb light. In my mind i new that but it didnt click to me he didnt want to lay under the heat lamp too. So no he and the uvb light are back on the cooler side of the cage.
Thanks for the imput everyone he was indeed mad. LOL sometimes you wish they could talk. |

yeah beardies have a mind of their own sometimes. is yours still young? how old/big? I just got a little juvenile who just shed everything except his head so far. it's fun to watch them grow that's for sure. as for salad all over the tank...it really depends on their mood...if they are up and really active that day, a couple whips of the tail as it's running around can do a number to the food. in your case he was probably thinking "why did that punk move the light? I'll show him"
aren't they great animals lol
