Should I call the pet store?
I got both my dragons from the same place. A local petstore. I took the second guy to the vets today and he has 3-4 different worms as well as that coicida (sp) I am wondering if I should call the petstore and let them know they have an infection going through thier stock. I just wonder if anyone would care.

I would let them know, but in person so you can see the expression on their face. Just to see if they do or dont care. I went into a petstore a while ago, and they had 2 albino burms that were infested with mites. So I let the owner know, and his reply was oh I have some spray I could put on them. Right then I knew I would not be coming back, it just didnt seem to bother him. And how could he not know about the mites, the snakes were yellow so you could see them running up and down the snakes.

Well I contacted the pet store and basically thier responce was "those were all from a breeder we no longer use so hopefully that will solve the problem and we dont have any dragons in right now" The funny thing is i checked the web page and it says "Most of our reptiles are "captive bred", or "captive born" When reptiles arrive we always treat them for mites, ticks, and internal parasites. Young reptiles are fed calcium or calcium D3 three times a week." Oh well you can only do what you can do I guess

Unfortunatley when it comes to pet health care pet stores always claim they have nothing to do with it and come up with a professional alibi to somehow still convince you there buisness is reasonable. I still haven't come accross a petstore who ever admitted there wrong doings. Most of the time pet stores are just about money, and its a waste of time to approach them with anything else but cash.

I agree ..You allways see overcrowding and dirtytanks...I saw a big tortoise in a fish tank and he couldnt even move ..
I asked about it and the guy said ..He is for educational purposes ..we take him to schools and show the kids and we let him roam the store at night..
pet stores usually have limited room and allways put like 15 BP's in per tank..

A while ago I went to the store I bought my water dragon from to get a bulb, and I say a baby water dragon there, he was really brown, and you could see his mouth rotting, I dont know....it was disgusting. I would never buy from there again.

Its frusterating beyond belief. These people have beautiful tanks/setups and they rarely have more then they should in a tank. they seem to feed nutritious food and animals are taken out and played with, held on a regular basis. Mostly by the workers there. its the owners who dont seem to give a ratsass about it.
