couple of q's

i bought my juvenile bearded dragon yesterday and need to know a few things
1. i havent got many selection of veg for him yet a neither does my local shop has many veg so i have grated some carrot up for him for the time been is this ok
2. i have also bought for him http://www.petsdirect.com/Product_In...pCode=SF4309-M i thought coz he might drown in a big water bowl is this ok

3.i bought him yesterday and how long should leave him alone untill i offer some criks(im only asking because i couldnt find the a in my bd book).

4.he all so has like black lines running every where on his body from beard to like end of his belly near the begging of his tale r these normal markings when they r younge and just faid away as they get older?

carrots is not the best choice, he should get greens daily (collard, turnip, mustard, dandilion...) here are a few food sites

a water bottle is not a bad idea but young BDs should be bathed for 10 min a day to keep them well hydrated. Offering well hydrated food is important too.

he should get crix 2-3 times a day starting immediately

yes that is normal however if he is dark than you may need to increase his basking temp. It should be 105-115 measured with a digital thermometer

Bennett, that's an awesome care sheet. I wish more people put costs down along with care- I think quite often the big picture gets ignored. Also, your facility is beautiful!

thanks for those kind words. My snakes started breeding this week so I am hoping the BDs wont be far behind.

this is one of my "snow" males from Kevin at Dragons Den that should be breeding this season.

I am also planning on some Red X Snows. The parents are 500-600 grams
