i got new mercury vapor floods

ok this weekend one of my local pet stores got in a new type of mv bulb that i decided to try. they are made by esu which i have always had good luck with and are called super B. well i put one of the 160w bulbs on one of my bearded communitys that i have never had any problems with. they instantly gravitated to the light and basked for about a day. i went to feed them at their normal time and they werent as interested. the temp was fine and nothing else had change but they usual ravenous appetite was gone. any clues to what this may have been? they are eat better as the days go by but this kinda freaked me out. im also using the same type of bulb on a uromastyx with no ill effects.

beardiedragon will become famous soon enough
ESU bulbs dont put out as much UVB for as long as other brands. I use a meter to measure the UVB light so it is not just a casual observation. I don't like ESU brand lights.

agreed Bennett.
Even most MVB's (even though you pay alot)do not produce what we need them to....hours later they decay sometimes----weeks later you have a heat lamp.
To get the best quality go to the meter readers group at yahoo and read the test results......before buying anymore bulbs.

The little square banner add that says ReptileUV is a link to Mac bulbs too...click it! If I cared about any of my lizards I would!
