Um let's see the Fluker's Gut Load (gel isn't food just water) There is also Fluker's Cricket Feed which look's like oatmeal, which of these are you using? Also if you are using the gel stuff STOP when it dries out the cricket's eat it and it can impact reptiles and they will die!!!

That stuff you're giving them probably isn't real food. Try some cornflakes and other cereals. Also, they like fruit I believe. Do they have any heat? I understand that it's adviseable to use a heat mat for them if you live in cold climates.

My killian has had to learn to eat pre-killed crickets bacuase I can't keep um alive eitheir. So I now use Flukers dried crickets daily and get live ones every so often in small numbers so they don't die.

yeah, mabye you should try pre-killed, they are less expensive, less maintenance, they don't make much noise "chirpping" like live ones, and they are a #$%^$%^$%^$%^& of a lot less likely to escape. flukers is a good brand for them, you can get them pregutloaded, and doused with vitamins too! -Juggalo

We did it! Ok, I got a small plastic cage, two small dishes, Flukers cricket feed, calcium powder, vitamin powder, uncooked oat meal, a cardboard tube, and a sponge. Put the oatmeal on the bottom of the cage, to keep moisture down. Put the cricket feed in one dish and the sponge, wet, in the other dish. Put the tube in the cage. Put live crickets in the cage. They eat the cricket feed, gut loading. The get water from the sponge. They hide in the tube. Feeding time comes and they are alive and in the tube. Shake the tube into your platic bag with both powders in it and then shake the crickets into the beardie enclosure. TADA, keeping even stupid crickets alive is easy.

Yep Take amErika's advice thats how we take care of our crickets at the wildlife refuge the sponge is a really good idea soak it in a bit of water they love sitting on it. Also a little corn flakes or oat bran cereal is good for them and a #$%^$%^$%^$%^& of a lot cheaper than many commercial feeds. Good Luck.

I have seen a food bowl that is battery operated and vibrates, making the freezedried crickets seem to be alive, that may help entice your animal to take them. I wish I had a link but I don's... I am sure KS has someone on it selling them under the cageing section.
