Re: exo-terra for atb?
sweet!
the only reason i mentioned ap cages is because that is what ive been useing for my ball, and im about to get one for my rtb.
i had previously looked at herpcages but since they had screen tops i decided against them. now that i know i can get them without the screen im totally going in that direction.

Re: exo-terra for atb?
Do you think a 20" cube is adequate for an adult?

Re: exo-terra for atb?
An adult ATB will fit fine in a 20" cube.

Re: exo-terra for atb?
It's not small for 1 adult, but bigger is alway better IMO. I breed in a 4'x2'x2' ReptiRack. A 3'x'2'x2' is a fantastic size for an adult if you have the room and money. There are others, like Mike Heinrich, that keep adults in the 16"x16"x20"s and his ATBs flourish and breed just fine in those smaller enclosures.

Re: exo-terra for atb?
Yeah I'd like to do a 3 x 2 x 2 when mine gets bigger. Luckily he's still just a worm.

Re: exo-terra for atb?
Same requirements as an ATB for a GTP

Re: exo-terra for atb?
With a little modification, the Exo-Terra's make great display cages for arboreal snakes.
The main fault with these cages is the screen top. It makes it difficult to maintain heat and most importantly, humidity. What I did to resolve this problem is completely remove the screen top and I cut a single sheet of 1/4" plexi to an exact fit for the top of the cage. The plexi lays perfectly on top and inside the black frame of the Exo-Terra. I drilled holes in the plexi near all the corners of the cage, used a bolt and nut through these holes, and secured the plexi to the black frame of the cage with storm door screen locks that you can find at Home Depot. Pretty solid and completely secure, more so than the stock screen setup.
From there I installed a RHP and a misting system to the plexi top. Now my temps are very solid and the humidity is much easier to maintain.
I'm using this cage right now for a juvenile carpet python, but will be moving him out shortly to his adult home (bigger AP cage). This cage will be the adult home of my baby chondro. Just have to figure out how I want to mount additional branches and it'll be good to go. The dimensions of this cage are 36"Wx18"Dx24"H, so it'll be plenty big for a GTP (and I assume a ATB).
These are great display cages if you put a little work into them.

Re: exo-terra for atb?
(^^That's the uncommon, expensive one I was referring to ) I'm coming to realize though, that my definition of expensive is very different from most people on this site.

Re: exo-terra for atb?
yea it think that one is a little pricey
i could get the 20 inch cube significantly cheaper.
i think even the ap arboreal tank is even cheaper
