Good to see he can perch. If a bit crookedly.

Reason: overuse of the word "albeit" in a single thread...

I agree. I was told he could but it's a huge weight off my shoulders to actually SEE it. Like I said, I'm a proponent of the quality of life argument. And I'm not sure I'd be comfortable keeping an arboreal snake who couldn't be arboreal. That'd just seem wrong somehow.
And you can never use the word "albeit" too often.

Yeah. He's actually way small for his age because of that and also because he's a picky eater. He's almost three years old!

Awww, the little snake who could! Just remember, if you buy the special snakey a little helmet, the helmet should match the color of the scales.

Too bad you couldn't have the vet fuse his neck bones together.

Does it have to be the exact same color or could it be a complimentary color? I think a helmet that's the same shade as his blue scales would be rather dashing on him.

Re: A very "special" GTP
I think a light blue would work. White would work, too, but not after Labor Day.

Does he let you scratch his little head? That would just make it so much cuter.

You know I haven't tried that yet but now I desperately want to lol.
I'm going to try feeding him for the first time today! They reiterated very strongly that he's incredibly picky so I won't be surprised if he doesn't eat but I really hope he will!

Re: A very "special" GTP
I think getting him to perch might actually help as far as his appetite? & the better his environment??? When I had that rosy boa (born with right angle kink in neck, etc) she fed quite well when I lined up & held her pinkies with tongs so she could grab them ok...? She just couldn't do it herself...(she could shed on her own, surprisingly! Did they say if this guy needs help shedding?) I sure agree with you, things look much better when he can perch... best of luck!
