just wanted to know what is the difference in all of the different GTPs, like Aru and Wamena. cant find too much about all that on the net so i figured someone here had to know. I am not experienced enough for one right now but will be interested in a few years. just trying to find out what i am lookin for and such.

Aru, Merauke, Biak, Wamena, Yapen, Sorong, Jayapura are all the names of Indonesian islands... where each type is from. Each group has been isolated (and thus genetically restricted) on seperate islands for probably thousands of years, thus they have developed slightly varying patterning, coloration, and size. Some people prefer one over the other, but they're all the same species. I've seen incredible differences in coloration and pattern even within animals of the same locale. They are also found in Australia - which is yet another locale.

Do you have any preference personally? Or any more information as to the differences? I'm kind of curious to this myself, although I already knew what the different names meant...
Also, are there any different subspecies/locales WITHIN Australia, or not?

As for personal preference, I'd opt for Sorong-type.

I don't really have a locality preference, but I do enjoy some of the biaks.

Not really...since the boa locales also include several subspecies...where the greentrees are only one species and not seperated into subspecies...only noted by locale. They are all just a buncha emerald wannabes anyway lol.
