Not sure. They were labeled as Diamond Carpet Pythons, not Jungle Carpet x Diamond Carpet crosses. Pure Carpets are actually fairly rare despite how most are marketed as Jungle Carpets. Perhaps someone with more experience in Carpets can shed some light.

Yeah I'm really curious because sometimes you see pictures of Diamond Pythons or crosses with carpets that look more like yours there.. and sometimes pics of Diamond Pythons look like these, with the really small speckles very pronouced:

Perhaps the pattern changes with age as well... maybe someone with more knowledge on these guys can clarify?
I do know that Diamonds are very expensive, rarer snakes, while Irian Jaya and Jungle Carpet pythons are relatively cheap and easy to get hold of.

Their colors and patterns do change. This is one of the more interesting ontogenic changes to observe. They slowly start to "Diamond up".
