Here is my Moluccan python, Mac Beth. These are no longer classified as Morelia amethistina with the bar-necks. They are now listed as Morelia Clastolepis because there are a lot of genetic differences. So let's get busy and show me some pics of these Long Toothed Wonders!

Boaguy, that would be about the right price if you are ready for one of these beauties.
Shad, someone in the Python forum of that Other website put the handling of these snakes better than I ever could. They said "I get the feeling that I am being allowed to handle these snakes". That is how I feel... I feel like that python is letting me handle him and if he decided against, there would be NOTHING I could do about it. The people I got him from told me nothing but how agressive he is and how big his teeth are, but I am finding that he seems somewhat OK with me. My friend Sam on the other hand can't get near him.
I really think this is the most intelegent snake I have ever owned. He will swivel his eyes to look at me and follow me around the room with his head. He really is a joy to own and a site to behold, but i really wouldn't reccomend scrubs and the related species to anyone that does not have experience with both agressive or tempermental terestial species and arboreal snakes. He spends about 50% of his time on the ground and 50% on the perch in the classic ETB stance.
Well, that was longer than I intended, but I just can't stop talking about this guy!

It's not so much that i can't get near him yet, Morti - i'm just not sure i want to. That's just too much tooth at once for my tastes.

Beccah still has her Scrub. She just had new pics taken of her, too (she said I could post this):
She also has some new pics of her with Freya (the Scrub), but she wants to put them into Mugshots. Hold on to your eyeballs and get keyboard protectors....you'll need to when she posts.

Thanks you guys!
Here is all the info I have on this individual...
He was imported as a brand new hatchling and raised in southern florida. The previous owners told me nothing but how agressive he is. They told me that every time they went near the cage, he would strike at the glass repetedly at eye level and whenever they did open it, he would lunge/jump at them, mouth open and teeth out for business. The guy said that this snake has laid him open on several occasions. They were so intimidated by this animal that they would only handle him with a long hook. Since he was such an agressive individual, they gave him to me for a very good price.
He is about 4 years old now and he's about 5 - 5.5 feet. I will eventually get a better measurement than that for him. He has only struck at me once and that was a closed mouth, threat bite that seemed to say "I don't mean business right now, but that is always an option for the future." That happend at Julius Squeezer's house when he was still a little stressed from the trip up here. Now that he is settled in, he hasn't even tried to go at me. I have only hooked him once, and that was just to get the business end pointed away from my face so I could pick him up. I can just reach in, make him aware that I am in the cage with him, and pick him up these days. Maybe he and I have just bonded. I did do the dirty tee shirt trick the first day I had him so maybe he is now associating my smell with warmth and safety. Yeah, that's my story.
He has had 1 perfect shed since I got him and he has eaten twice. I am feeding him f/t small rats. I fed him most recently last night. I have him housed in one of the new Boaphile Plastics Arboreal cages with the "Feeding door" and he did try to come up my hemostats and out the door on me. I had to drop the rat and get the door shut really quickly! That is one fast snakes!
Anyway... I hope that's not tooo much information.

That feeding was pretty amusing from my vantage point over on the couch, Morti... He looked at the rat, "sniffed" it with his tongue, then looked straight up the hemostats at the feeding door and (i think) spotted your hand. You barely got that panel in place before he got his head out to you... but i'm sure you saw that.
I think he was trying to find out where you were keeping the rest of the rats.
