I am not too familar with ATBs but from what ive heard, they are not very forgiving. Read up on the caresheets and setup the tank prior to acquiring one because the husbandry has to be near perfect. Someone with more info will be around soon, but this is what i have heard. Good Luck!

Plusses and minuses for both Carpets and ATB's
The Carpet will be easier to care for and a snake you can actually handle without overstressing it all the time. Also makes a good display snake since they like to climb etc...Mine spends a LOT of time hanging out in her branches.
ATB, probably a bit better of a display snake if you spend the money to get a nice colored one. But as was said before, they are quite a bit more difficult as far as husbandry goes. If you're experienced and pay good attention to your snakes you could handle either one. Remember though that an ATB isn't a snake that should be handled much at all.

I have both Carpet Pythons and Amazon Tree Boas and they are both pretty easy to care for.
Amazons need more humidity but are pretty tolerant otherwise. Amazons make great display animals especially if you get a well colored one but they generally don't respond well to being handled and for their size have very large sharp teeth.
Carpets on the other hand when adults are very docile and easy to handle, but become much less arboreal as they get older.

Kogoz, Get a pen and write this down. Please. Got one? OK...when you feel the urge to delve into arboreals any time between now and living on your own and after doing all the research (asking which is more forgiving of poor husbandry is NOT research btw) OK, this is what you need to write down.. "NO"
