These are two NL neos that have pretty much completed the color change. They should continue to develop pattern for about another year and we are hoping the classic "eye-spots" will eventually show up.

NL stands for New Locale. With ETB's, you have for the most part 3 locales. Standard Northern/Suriname locale, Amazon Basin locale, and what is called New Locale. Each locale has certain identifying patterns. Yet at the same time, the pattern within each locale can differ greatly. Though desirability of any ETB is mostly based on the uniqueness of patterning and level of white markings. [img]modules/Forum/images/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif[/img]

Here is a pic of one after the first shed, which happened about 2 weeks after we got them. There are more pics in our album from when they were younger.
As John said, NL means "New Locale", and my understanding is that the name applies more to the morph than it does to a particular location or range. Both parents and several of the 10 babies in the litter had "eye spots", which along with latteral white markings, similar to basin latterals are common in NL's.
