Golden Orb Weaver
i was just organizing some pics i had on my hard drive, and ran across thise pics. This spider was outside my house for a few months off and on. He had the brightest yellow web strung between a tree and a shrub.

wow, that is sweet!
We have golden silk spiders around here that get that big, and they are awesome looking!

OH MY GOD!!! FLASHBACK!!! When I was in the military stationed in SC I was running down a trail with my buddy. Sure enough I wasn't paying attention and ran right into one of those guys....When I looked down on my shirt I thought I was going to have a heart attack!!! Yes, I hate spiders with a passion. Just seeing that thing.....I think I must have screamed like a girl for an hour.

now that is as cool spider. Almost reminds me of a spider that we used to see in the Middle East, called the Camel spider. It would inject a local anisthetic, to numb its prey before eating it alive.

I was stationed at Beaufort Marine Corps Air Station just south of you!!! Man, that sucks, we could've hung out and stuff. Man, small world.....Oh, and by the way, I would step on that other spider too.....

LOL, the only reason i keep spiders around is because of the other bugs it eats.

Hey, savannah_babe, and faze, Yeah thoughs wind scorpion/camel spiders, would chase after you when we would squirt them with water guns. They were vicious. Then eventually we would squash them. Boy did they make a mess though. he he.
