Silkworms and silk moths

Hi folks,

I was considering starting up a small colony of Peace silkworms for hand-spinning fiber and reptile food, once I get some mulberry bushes nicely established. I have read that silkworms are a good staple food for bearded dragons. Are they good for other lizards or spiders/scorpions as well? I am hoping to eventually get a Tokay breeding pair and an Emperor scorpion when my funds and lifestyle permit. Also, does anyone know if silk moths (which die after mating and laying eggs) are a good food for any reptiles or arthropods? I would be handy if I could freeze the expired moths to feed out, but I realize that dead insects aren't always accepted readily by some lizards. If not, the moths can always join the compost heap! I'll make 'em useful somehow.

If any of you raise silkworms for food or fiber, I would love to hear your experiences and how you set up your silkworm enclosure.

Thanks for your help.
