That's a Polyphemus Moth Caterpillar ( Antheraea polyphemus)  Nice photos. I love the plump and chubbyness of big caterpillars like that and the stickyness of their prolegs.
A pic of an adult.
Those caterpillars do get to a pretty large size, but still don't match the Regal Moth Caterpillar ( Citheronia regalis) like I'm holding in this pic. lol If I remember right this guy was about 4.5 inches and still wasn't at it's final instar.
