New T week
This week was a good week for me.
I went to a show that I knew a bunch of the vendors, so they made me some unbelievable deals.
I bought a pair of A. urticans (the male is in premolt now), a female B. smithi, and a P. cancerides (for Katy).
The female B. smithi turned out to be a male, so I went to the person I bought him from and traded out for a female today. And also came home with a female A. seemani. My hands where so itchy on the way home... I sexed all of their B. smithis for them.
Now for the evidence...
Female B. smithi

Female A. urticans

IM A. urticans (come one molt!)

Female A. seemani (best shot for now, she turned into Mrs. Hyde afer this)

Female P. cancerides
Thanks for looking!!!

Re: New T week
I was hoping for the same deal as another member got.
However I would be willing to pay shipping.
on the other hand I really don't think I could give the proper housing to one at this time for my job is still being slow, so far I have only two hours this month in.

The ones I posted are all higher end T. Minus the last one.

Actually the exoterras are too high for a terrestrial T(like the smithi). A large arboreal would work though. Ts really don't take up too much space. All of mine are in my bedroom.

Let me know when you are looking and I'll answer any questions you have... As for terrestrial cages... I use Desert Den Kritter Keepers for the subadults and adults.

Re: New T week
Holy cheese....that's a lotta hairy leg. My other half wants a goliath bird eater or one of those cobalt blue ones. I know absolutely nothing about tarantulas so I have no idea what the latin for those are. That first one has some very pretty colors though.

Re: New T week
T. blondi (aka Goliaths) are not for the beginner. I won't even own one. They have high demands for husbandry and they have the worse urticating hairs out of all the Ts(stage 3).
As for H. lividum (aka Cobalt Blues) they are very pretty, but very defensive for the most part. I wouldn't recommend one for a first... maybe a 5th or 6th . I loved mine!

Re: New T week
Thanks! I'll pass that on to him and hopefully he'll decide to get something a little more managable. I'd heard that the goliath's were difficult to keep so it's good to get some confirmation on that from someone with so much experience. I'd hate for him to get in over his head especially when the health and well-being of an animal is in the balance.
