America does not go abroad in search of monsters to destroy. She is the well-wisher to the freedom and independence of all. She well knows that by enlisting under other banners than her own, were they even the banners of foreign independence, she would involve herself beyond the power of extrication in all the wars of interest and intrigue, of individual avarice, envy and ambition, which assume the colors and usurp the standards of freedom. – John Quincy Adams (1821)

Re: New Family Member.....
Well, they're pretty to look at, I'll give you that. But it will be a cold day in [that hot place] before I cruise into a pet store and come home with a giant spider in my pocket. I just don't see that happening in the foreseeable future. lol If it ever jumped, I'd probably have a heart attack.

Re: New Family Member.....
Congrats, Kaotik94. Nice looking rosie
Stargazer, it could be worse, I just picked up two 1/2 OBT slings. OBTs are beautiful orange tarantulas that are fast as greased lightning and are also very defensive. Unlike the Rosehairs who normally don't bite, OBTs are higher on the prone to biting list. Unfortuneately they are too small to photograph (for me). I use magnifying glass to see them now.
