What does this behavior mean?
I know it means don't mess with me when they raise their front legs in the air but what does it mean when a rosehair sticks it's butt up in the air with its head and front legs down when you approach it?
It looks like it is trying to hide its head and because of that its butt is stiking up.

Re: What does this behavior mean?
I don't know anything about them, but don't they rub off the hairs with their hind legs if they feel threatened or in danger?

Re: What does this behavior mean?
Might be a warning... "You come any closer and I'll shoot!"

Re: What does this behavior mean?
I had a cat once that did that when she was in heat. You weren't wearing a spider costume at that point were you?
Sorry dude, don't know anything about them, but I have looked at them at the pet stores, I think they are neat, but don't know if I could really have one. Not afraid of spiders, but anything bigger than a 50 cent piece kinda gives me the creeps.

Re: What does this behavior mean?
That is the warning that the T is scared and about to kick hairs.

Re: What does this behavior mean?
Sorry that response was so short, I had a snake in my hand. They will throw their abdomen into the air as a warning sign and preparation to kick hairs. They usually only do this if they feel scared.

Re: What does this behavior mean?
It means they are getting ready to kick hairs at you. My rosehair does that everytime I have to move her. I have a juvie A. geniculata that does it as well.
