Identify
My dog was scratching at a spider on the floor so I snatched it up and took a few pics. Just wondering if there is someone who can identify it better than me. I live in FL if that may help.

good luck.
i checked my field guide and saw nothing like it
but heres something I did find. There are more than 35,000 named species of spider worldwide, with 3,000 named species in north america..."but probably most spider species are awaiting identification."

Out of the 35,000 or so named spider species, about 300,000 of them live in Florida too It's dead whatever it is.

I'm just wondering if I should be worried about the dog getting bit or if it is poisonous.

Your dog is probably fine...how big is said arachnid? How big is your dog? I honestly wouldn't worry, if it was going to be an issue, it would have been apparent by now.

nah, dont worry. its not a black widow and its not a brown recluse, so you are pretty safe. Looks sorta like a typical brown house spider. I grew up in central FL .
