guess what I just got?
I have wanted a tarantula for close to 3 years now and my husband is really afraid of them...he finally broke down and let me get one today. He even sat in the car with it lol!!
She is a rose hair, still pretty little. I named her Medusa...
I will get some pics posted soon!

I am absolutely terrified of spiders but the more I see them, the more I kind of want one ... my fiance would kill me, though.

I used to be completely terrified of spiders too but I ended up talking to a breeder at a reptile show about tarantulas, he talked me into holding one, and ever since, I've been completely facinated. I can't wait to see pics of your new rose hair!

how can u tell if it is a male or female?
Thanks for the compliments...and do they "slow down" with age...she's fine...until i touch her, then she wants to run...luckily, she doesn't run far, just a few steps

Sexing a tarantula is pretty tricky but very important to know because males only live a few years and females can live 20 or more. | |
