I love argiope. We have NONE this year but they are at the neighbors who doesn't want them. She already laid her sac though so I'll leave her be to finish out her life where she chose. Hopefully I'll have babies around next year though.
Did she not go after the first cricket that was up there? Maybe try tapping on it lightly and they will run after the source of the vibration after it gets their attention.

I should have known. They are such piggies. That is the worst thing about this time of year when they say goodbye. I always look forward to searching for babies in the late spring though. Even get the kids in on it and keep the neighbors pointing fingers.
