T's
Ok so i am going to get my first tarantula.. i have narrowed it down to a Chilean Rose Hair and a Mexican Red Knee and a Pink Toe.. But I would like to know all i can on all of them before i decide... I hope to be aquiring it sometime in december at a reptile expo i go to in Bridgton Missouri every year and every year Botar by 8s is there and their spiders and scorps look really good... So I am just doing my research now and plan to start getting a little but of caging equipment every trip to the pet store to get the cage setup..(mainly just cage and cage decor and then ill get substrate and a day or 2 before i get the little fellow and set the cage up the night before.) But any information on the housing and feeding, handeling, and even sicknesses would be greatly appriciated!! thanks a ton you guys!

Chileans are good mellow spiders but their appieties aren't all that great. I had one for almost three yrs and she ate on occasion. I have one now who only just started to eat again after almost a year of fasting. I do not have any Xp with the other two but have hear good things about both. my boyfriend used to handle the pink toe he had a work and said it was very tame. My other T is called a GreenBottle Blue ( I can pull up the scietific name if I have too) and she is a very aggressive eater and makes one heck of a web tunnel that she lives in. I wouldn't recommend picking this spider up as she is alot more nervous and flighty. I enjoy watching her more and her three different colors make her a very interesting T to have.

aw to bad to hear that their apps arent that great... i love the way they look...I was kinda leaning more towards a goliath pink toe or a mexican redknee though... dont know which one yet i have a 10 gallon to put it in and was told that the mexican redknee would be perfect for that but i havnt heard about the golith pinktoe since they get like 7" i also heard they are really fast and skittish at times but usally pretty docile.. plus i love the way they look lol so now i have narrowed it down to the goliath pink toe and the mexican redknee...lol but which one and anyone know any info on housing and feeding and handeling? thanks...
