How big is this tarantula?
.. she lives under the edge of my rodent room..
.

.
I'm running the sprinkler out there and when she came out for a look just now I measured her!
.

.
She's a sweetie..
.
Gus.

Um, really big. Wow. You don't walk barefoot at night do you? I am such a barefoot person, I don't think I could live in Texas.

She's gorgeous, I love her! With that nice round rump I'm wondering if she's gravid or just a greedy lil piggy who eats so well hmmmmmm.
Genus Aphonopelma very nice Ts, she looks about 2 inches which is a full grown girl, legspan what? 3 inches?

Question... has anyone looked at the photo with the measuring stick yet?
.
That spider is right at 5" in diameter when she's spread out.. the cephalothorax is bigger than a US .50 piece..
.
Anyway.. it wasn't really a test... 'how big?', just a 'howdy from the spider' post.
.

That's totally awesome, I love tarantulas.
I go walk around at home all the time in my bare feet... I wouldn't mind doing that with those around. lol
