I may be wrong but it resembles a Colbalt Blue Tarantula. The ones I have seen are a brighter blue thats why I said I might be wrong. If it is a Colbalt they are from Asia and I believe have more venom than some of your other kinds of tarantulas. They are also pretty agressive. They are gorgeous though!

Ok..... you all should be able to see it now!? Wow thats a pretty crappy pic!! My camara made it look blue, when actually it is brown! I'll get a better pic up later.
and btw Karan..... you are close! it's definately a haplopelma sp. i'm just not sure which kind.
Much closer to albostriatum then it would be lividum (cobalt blue). Definately asian, this paticular spider was found in Laos.
